Dentists suck
Let me let you all in on a little secret. I have been working in the dental field since highschool - and most dentists have some serious mental issues!! I love my job. I am a dental hygienist. However, had I paid more attention to the politics involved once you are a dental hygienist, I would have chosen another career. I have quit at many offices where the dentists were just way too much to handle - but at some point you just have to suck it up, and deal with one who's not that bad. Mind you, the dentist I work for still drives me completely crazy every single day. Ok, so he may not overbill or take advantage of the elderly, etc, etc. but he's a cheap bastard! He waits until the very last minute to order supplies or tools that I need. I'm telling you, there's got to be a raindrop of mouthwash left in my bottle before I ask for more. He's on my case about how much gauze I use, etc. And, my new dilemna of the year (well of 2009), is that he tries to cut 10 or 15 minutes or even an hour off of each paycheque and somehow ALWAYS finds a way to justify it. Could it be to afford his supplies??? Hmmmm. I can't stand it anymore. I need to call the labor board, but first I need to gather some evidence. It's getting ridiculous. I can't handle it anymore.
